Cinemagraph of a Borderless State


Cartography has always been a political and foremost manipulative discpipline. The notion of political borders is becoming increasingly fluid. Deleuze and Guattari’s idea of a smooth space became an uncanny
political reality when we started to put Daesh on our conventional political maps. As a starting point this work is using borders of Daesh that the West agreed on in 2015. This space however is in flux and constantly changing.
What is a nation, what is geography? The video is exploring the disturbing reality of a politically unstable system.
