Impermanence of a Dog’s Life

Based on a CT scan of our family dog’s bone structure. Maya got some calcifications on her spine removed recently. She is an old dog by now. It never fails to amaze me just how quickly dogs go from puppies to grey-haired old timers. It is almost like a human life in the fast lane. I watch that dog growing old within a decade and I imagine a life-form that looks at me, a human, as a ridiculously short spanned morphogenesis. That really puts my weary head to rest for a moment... Maya is well after the surgery and continues on the fast lane as a happy, old dog.
